Bulb Replacement (General)
Flame or Illuminated Effect
Bulbs have a limited life span and will require replacing as they expire. Caution: Bulbs can be very hot, handle with care. Allow bulbs to cool before attempting to replace. Before undertaking any maintenance or cleaning, unplug or disconnect fire from the socket outlet.
Ribbon Operated Fires
- Remove the coals taking care where you place them, as they will leave a residue behind.
- Lift the fret and coal-bed assembly until the screw heads on the rear of the fret clear the keyhole slots on the brackets (see drawing). Lift away the fret and coal-bed. This will expose the bulbs. Note:- The coal bed and fret sits snugly and should be removed very carefully to ensure surfaces are not marked.
- Remove the expired bulb and replace with a new one. The bulbs have a screw thread.
- Re-fit the fret and coal-bed assembly and finish by replacing coals to suit. For hygiene reasons always wash any residue from your hands after handling.
